Beautiful Fruit
Grapes
Vineyards in South Africa grow the finest quality grapes in abundance. Some of the fantastic seedless varieties to look out for during the season are:
Prime - the earliest South African grape variety, which has good sized, crisp berries and good flavour
Crimson - maroon-red grapes, firm texture with soft skin and sweet crisp flavour
Thompson - white grapes with an elongated shape, known for outstanding appearance and quality
Midnight Beauty - black variety with large berries grown in loose bunches, crisp texture and excellent shelf life
- Grapes contain essential minerals such as Potassium (210mg per 100g), Calcium, Iron and Phosphorous
- They are a good source of Vitamin B which helps keep the muscular and nervous systems working well
- Grapes are good for your heart: Mainly because of the polyphenols they contain, black grapes are rich in cardio-protectors, which help stop blood clots from forming
