Beautiful Country

"South Africa is one of the most beautiful, hottest tourist destinations in the world, when you see its exquisite beaches, stunning countryside and rugged mountain backdrop, you can understand why."
Jasmine Harman, from Channel 4's A Place in the Sun
The Western Cape is South Africa's most popular tourist destination. Cape Town is the heart of the cape but it also boasts the expansive Winelands, the Garden Route and Table Mountain.
The Eastern Cape has a beautiful and diverse range of scenery to offer. From the jagged coastlines to the modern cityscapes. The Eastern Cape is famous for the Addo Elephant Park and the Shamwari Game Reserve and is a great place to spot the "Big Five" on safari.
The Northern Cape appeals to those seeking peace and quiet. The Orange River runs along the border between the cape and Namibia, providing a lush landscape in the surrounding area. To the south of the region is the Augrabies Falls National Park, where the river plunges nearly 200 feet into a narrow ravine.
The North West Province is close to the bustling cities of Johannesburg and Pretoria, however, unlike these cities much of the province is devoted to agriculture. Rustenburg is a popular tourist destination in the region, with Sun City just a half an hour away by car.
In 2010, South Africa will host the world's most celebrated football tournament - the FIFA World Cup. This will be the first time that the tournament has been hosted by an African nation.
Preparations for the World Cup mean South Africa has more restaurants, more quality hotel rooms and more visitor attractions than ever before. Now is a great time to go!
